Brantley At 9 Months!

I fall in love with you more everyday.  When I don't think it's possible to love you more...it happens.  Each day my heart gets a little bigger.  I end each day thanking God for blessing me with this amazing gift of being your mama!  Your squeals when you see me, the way you bury your face in my neck when you are sleepy, how you cling to me when you get shy with new people - I love it all!  And I can't remember what life was like before you.

Now on to the 9 month stats ( a few days late).  At 9 months you...
  • Weigh 22 pounds 9.5 ounces
  • Are 31 inches long
  • Wear mostly 12 month clothes.  A lot of 9 month clothes still fit and you are in some 18 month PJs.
  • Wear Size 4 diapers.
  • Sleep anywhere from 7 to 8:30 at night to 7:30 to 8:00 in the morning.  You nap twice a day - about an hour and a half each time if not longer.
  • Trying to get the hang of your sippy cup.  You hold it but you have not mastered tipping it up to get the water out of it on your own.
  • Crawl everywhere.  Once you figured it out you were off!  You climb over things that get in your way.
  • You are all boy!  You are rough and play hard.  I'm gearing up for it because on the occassions that you have hit me on "accident", you think it is hysterical.
  • At night when I am rocking you and giving you your bottle before bed, you rub your hand on my chin.  Lately you've started playing this game where you push my face away - repeatedly.  You just grin through your drinking your bottle.
  • You're pulling up on everything.  Even when you crawl you sometimes crawl in a downward dog (yoga) position.  Just wanting your feet on the floor, I guess.
  • Your favorite toys are your ball pit and your car.  You love climbing on the side of your ball pit to get in (even though there is an opening in the back - that would be too easy) and then throwing all of the balls out in the living room floor.  Your car has a rolling ball on the top of it and when you spin the ball it makes a "vroom" noise and takes off and you take off after it to start the whole process over again.
  • You look for Sadie every afternoon when we get home.  Her cage is hidden behind the dining room table and you peek around the table until she is in sight, then squeal until we let her outside.

    Happy 9 Months, Munchkin!
